Joined by a deformed gentle giant named Sloth, The Goonies embark on a great adventure through a underground maze filled with traps and skeletons, where they are pursued by Sloth's mother, thief Momma Fratelli and his brothers Jake and Francis who are also after One-Eyed Willy's treasure and they willing to get the treasure first. On the small island of Swallow Falls, the outcast boy Flint Lockwood is a clumsy inventor encouraged by his mother. Years later, Flint’s mother dies and his skeptical father Tim Lockwood, an old fisherman who has a sardine store, gives Flint a partnership in his store and invites him to work there with him. But Flint, being the inventor that he is, has just invented a food processor that converts water into food. And He decides to test it out... but things don’t go according to plan and he manages to launch it into the atmosphere. It begins to rain hamburgers and other food in the island. A television station sends a weather reporter trainee (Sam Sparks) to cover the phenomenon and Flint becomes famous. However, the greedy and glutton Mayor Shelbourne overworks the machine and the food becomes a menace to the human race. Written by Claudio Carvalho.

Ted Striker just got dumped by his long-time girlfriend Elaine Dickinson, who works as a stewardess at Trans American Airlines. In his wish to get her back, he follows her aboard the plane, although he has had a deep aversion against anything winged since he lost several men in the war. During flight, he tries to contact her again and again, but as the crew and many passengers get seriously ill due to a bad fish meal, he has no chance to get to her. In fact, Ted Striker seems to be the only healthy person aboard that has piloting experience. Now, it is up to him to get the bird down in Chicago safely, before the poisoning starts causing casualties. But Ted Striker’s aversion really is a serious psychosis, which breaks open and needs to be cured - right now. Written by Julian Reischl.


WHERE IS IT?

Summer at the Pier will be held at the Coastguard Site (former Lighthouse Museum site) in Downtown Staten Island next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal along the waterfront between the ferry terminal and Bay Street Landing. There will be construction near both entrance ways. Please follow the signage to gain access from both locations.

From the Staten Island Ferry Terminal:

Exit the ferry downstairs near the “Kiss and Ride” walk up Ramp C and there will be a pedestrian entrance leading into the Coastguard site plaza and pier. Signage will be posted. Paid parking is available at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal: Park and walk towards Bay Street from Richmond Terrance and down Ramp C to the pedestrian entrance that leads into the Coastguard site.

From Bay Street and Hannah Street intersection:

Take Bay Street to Hannah Street. Continue down and bear left onto Murray/Hulbert. The old Cromwell Center will be straight ahead – there will be limited parking available on Murray/Hulbert and Front Street. Continue towards Bay Street Landing residential area to the waterfront to your right. The walkway to the Coastguard site will straight ahead; Bay Street Landing will be to your left and the waterfront will be to your right. Walk 200ft to the entrance to the plaza and pier. Signage will be posted to direct you.
