About Us
The Downtown Staten Island Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to continued community development and commercial revitalization of the Downtown Business District and surrounding neighborhoods in St. George, Tompkinsville, Stapleton and Clifton. Through general meetings, committees, special events and programs, we seek to further our common goals of improving the economic environment, encouraging public and private investment, expanding business and employment opportunities and neighborhood beautification. We act as a liaison between our members, city agencies, and elected officials to disseminate, troubleshoot problems and address quality of life issues which impact on businesses and residents alike.
